REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE:
Observation classes were conducted this week. Assembly was conducted on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On 31.7.2017, assembly was conducted by standard VIII students and on 2.8.2017, Wednesday assembly was conducted by class VII Students. Field study on Environmental education was also done this week. Classes were taken in 8th and 9th standard. Structure and function of teeth, Role of saliva in digestion, Meristematic tissues, Movement of food from mouth to oesophagus, Digestion in stomach, Animal tissues. In the afternoon session, on 01.08.2017, we conducted the field study on the topic Domestic Waste Management. Class observation were done by Mary miss and Sreedevi miss.
Suggestions made by teacher on class observed:
* Sound was audible.
* Pupil participation average.
*Teaching aids used were excellent.
* Had good subject knowledge.
* Class management skill could be improved.
* Before giving activity, remove charts displayed.
* Concept conveyed well.
* Black board writing excellent.
* Consolidated points.
* Reinforcement was not given.
* Review session: good.
Classroom interaction: average.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
We arranged the ICR classroom for conducting the program. The program was inaugurated by Brahmanandan sir, Principal Sabarigiri College of Education. The presidential address was given by Shamsudeen sir, principal of Sabarigiri HSS. The felicitation was given by John sir, Veena madam. The program started with a prayer. Thrishna was the anchor of the program. Rahul has done the welcome speech. Laya has given the felicitation. Then Arathy along with Sutharya had given an introduction for the study by showing a power point presentation. Then Akhila has done a talk session on the topic. After that I performed a demonstration class by making a vermicompost. Finally Seena gave the vote of thanks. The program ended with the national anthem.
OVERALL REFLECTION ON CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE:
6 lesson plans were completed this week. ICT based classroom was taken for teaching class IX students.
